▌SPP Conducts Field Research in Guangdong

最高检调研组在广东检察机关调研

▌Zhang Xueqiao, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP), recently led a team to Guangdong to carry out research, supervision and guidance on public interest litigation cases related to water environment governance in the Pearl River Basin.

近日，最高人民检察院副检察长张雪樵率最高检调研组到广东开展珠江流域水环境治理检察公益诉讼专案调研督导。

▌The team held a symposium at the provincial procuratorate, where they listened to reports from Guangdong’s procuratorial organs on handling the said cases. They also provided guidance on further strengthening case handling and promoting systematic governance.

调研组在广东省人民检察院召开座谈会，听取广东检察机关办理珠江流域水环境治理检察公益诉讼专案汇报，就下一步如何强化履职办案、推动系统性治理作出指示。

▌Additionally, the team visited Shaoguan to conduct on-site research on the protection of ecological environment and resources in the Beijiang River Basin, and provided on-the-spot guidance on a case of illegal mining assigned by the SPP.

调研组还前往韶关实地调研北江流域生态环境资源保护情况，并对最高检交办的一宗非法采矿案开展现场指导。
