▌We have cracked down hard on serious violent crimes such as intentional homicide, robbery, rape and explosion, and prosecuted 9608 people, with a decline in malicious cases year by year. We have made efforts to combat organized crime and root out local criminal gangs on an ongoing basis. A total of 1078 people have been prosecuted for gang-related crimes. Besides, we have thoroughly combined punishment and clemency in handling criminal cases. The application rate of sentence bargaining has been to 87.03%. Moreover, we have attached equal importance to punishment and governance. The volume of the drunk driving cases in Guangdong ranked top in China, and in response to it, we have carried out thematic inspection and special campaigns on drink-driving, and promptly formulated guidelines in handling relevant cases, which sets a Guangdong example for the associated document issued by the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security as well as the Ministry of Justice.

从严追究故意杀人、抢劫、强奸、爆炸等严重暴力犯罪，起诉9608人，全省恶性案件发案数呈逐年下降趋势。常态化开展扫黑除恶，起诉涉黑涉恶犯罪1078人。全面准确贯彻宽严相济刑事政策，认罪认罚从宽制度适用率87.03%。坚持治罪与治理并重，针对我省醉驾案件数全国第一的情况，开展酒驾专题调研和专项治理，及时制定办案指引，为两高两部顺利出台《关于办理醉酒危险驾驶刑事案件的意见》提供了广东样本和经验做法。
